Troubleshooting

Start with the official platform: https://www.novalabs.top.

The page loads, but the game does not start

  • Reload the page.
  • Try a private/incognito window.
  • Disable extensions that block WebAssembly, scripts, or cross-origin storage.
  • Allow cookies and site data for novalabs.top.
  • Try another modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari).

The first load downloads a large client file, so a slow connection can look like a freeze. Wait for the loading indicator before reloading.

The game stutters or runs slowly

  • Close other tabs and background apps.
  • Enable hardware acceleration in your browser.
  • Lower the experience's graphics settings if it has them.
  • Use a wired connection or move closer to your router.
  • Try a smaller place to see whether the issue is the game or your device.

I cannot sign in

  • Use the password reset on the official platform.
  • Check that caps lock is off and your email is the one you signed up with.
  • Do not use a third-party login page. Sign in only at www.novalabs.top.

I was disconnected

  • Rejoin the place.
  • If it happens repeatedly, note the time and the place, then report it.
  • A full server or a restarting game server can disconnect everyone; waiting a minute often fixes it.

Controls are not working

  • Click the game area first; the page needs focus for keyboard input.
  • Check whether a text box or menu is capturing input.
  • Check the game's own controls; many experiences override the defaults.
  • Try another browser or keyboard layout.

The game looks different from a video

Check Virtual Version in settings. It changes the interface and era-specific visuals between 2012 and 2016 without changing gameplay. See Controls and settings.

I need to report a player or a place

Use the report/block tools on the platform. Include the place link, the player's username, the time, and a short description. For urgent safety issues, use the platform's support/security channel rather than a public post.

I found a bug in Nova itself

If it affects many places or the whole site, report it through the official platform. If it is about these docs, see Contributing.
